Journey to the Centre of the Earth
Out 11 July
Brendon Fraser literally pops out of the cinema screen in Jules Verne's 3D subterranean adventure that Littlewoods Bingo is tipping to be the family spectacular of the summer.
Fraser plays Trevor Anderson, an unconventional scientist whom many laugh at. But when an expedition to Iceland leads Anderson, his nephew Sean and their beautiful tour guide Hannah to make a breakthrough discovery, we wonder who'll have the last laugh.
Watch and enjoy pure escapism as the trio's journey takes them deep below the Earth's surface, exploring never-before-seen lands and encountering unimaginable creatures (which yes, leap out the scene and into your lap!). Certainly a piece of movie making history that should not be missed!
The Dark Knight
Out 18 July
Poised to be one of the summer's biggest most talked about movies and giving the stage to Heath Ledger's final performance, Christian Bale dons the leather suit and returns as the capped crusader set to save the world from the clutches of the chilling portrayed Joker.
Following on from acclaimed Batman Begins, The Dark Knight continues in the dark fashion Batman Begins started off. Batman, along with the help of Lieutenant Gordon and D.A. Harvey Dent, is on the verge of victory over Gotham City's corruption. Enter one sinister, eerily grinning villain to push the caped crusader to his limits as he bids to reap havoc on Gotham. Testing the Bat's own morality, our 'hero' will need to explore the darker side of justice in order to overcome his worthy rival.
Having loved the twist in character Batman Begins added to the script, this online bingo site can't wait for the release of this epic. It's a well-worthy final curtain for Ledger with his chilling interpretation as the Joker.
X Files – I Want to Believe
Out 25 July
Everyone's favourite alien exploring duo Mulder and Scully make a welcome return after a long anticipated wait. Providing the summer's science fiction supernatural showcasing, I Want to Believe is also this summer's closely kept secret!
But always one to root out some gossip, Littlewoods Bingo wasn't going to take that lying down! Taking place six years after the events from the TV series, the film centres more on a horror/thriller story as opposed to the 'mythology' of the TV show. We have the feeling we'll be on the edge of our seats and perhaps even hiding behind one or two too! And finally we're pretty sure we get a Mulder and Scully onscreen embrace!
It doesn't matter whether you're an X Files X-pert or a complete stranger to Mulder and Scully, I Want to Believe has been made with everyone in mind and so is definitely worth a watch if you're in the mood for something a little on the spooky side. Fear not though because after all what can be scarier than the so called summer weather we're experiencing at the minute!
