Is the thought summer sending a shiver right through you? Does the idea of shedding those deceptive layers enough to make your blood run cold? That's just not right – you should look forward to summer and the warm weather as much as you look forward to your daily fix of online bingo!
That's why the girls here in the Littlewoods Bingo office have got together to devise Bingo's Best Online Bikini Buster! We've got the tried and tested moves and grooves to your tummy toned, your legs luscious and your bum looking blumin' sexy (and less like a bingo ball!) All you need is some good old determination. So eyes down, here we go:
Bingo Bikini Buster Exercise One: Squats
Squats are great for toning your thighs and bum – or quadriceps and glutes if you're being technical! We warn you though, your legs will really feel the burn at first but stick with it. After all, Littlewoods Bingo players are not quitters!
Stand with your feet flat on the floor, shoulder width apart. Make sure your back is straight and place your hands on your hips Then bend your knees, lowering your body but keeping it straight at all times. Hold for a few seconds then go back to your original standing position.
Step it up a gear: Do exactly what you're doing but with a dumbbell, or some kind of weight, in each hand.
Littlewoods Bingo Tip: Don't have the time? Away with your excuses – next time you're unpacking your 'big shop' adopt the stance, squatting as you put those tins away!
Bingo Bikini Buster Exercise Two: Incline Push Ups
Fear not these aren't your typical push ups but they do work on toning up your arms and getting rid of those bingo wings! That's right, we love playing online bingo here at Littlewoods (naturally) but would do anything to banish those bingo wings!
For this exercise you'll need either a sturdy chair or coffee table. Place your hands on either your table or chair, shoulder width apart with your legs out straight behind you. Slowly (and gently) lower your chest towards the chair (or table) keeping your body straight while keeping your elbows at a 90° angle. Push back up into starting position and then repeat.
Littlewoods Bingo tip: If you don't have a suitable chair or table, you can always use your kitchen counter while you're doing dinner or the back of your couch.
Bingo Bikini Buster Exercise Three: Side Bends
Ok so we're working on banishing those bingo wings, now it's time to turn our attention to those love handles.
Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Hang your hands by your sides holding a weight, ideally a dumbbell in each. Then just bend to one side as far as you can without leaning forward. Repeat on the other side – it's as easy as that.
Littlewoods Bingo Tip: If you don't have any dumbbells, and don't fancy buying any, then you can always use a tin of baked beans instead!
Bingo Bikini Buster Exercise Four: Lunges
Stand - yes you've guessed it bingo fans - shoulder width apart. Step forward with one leg making sure you place your heel down first. Push your front knee forward so it is directly over your toes and your back knee to as near to the floor as is comfortable. Return to standing position and repeat with the other leg. Do 20 on each leg.
Step it up a gear: Try adding in some torso twists. When you push your front knee forward, twist your body to the left. Twist back to the centre and stand. Step forward with the other leg and twist to the right.
Don't have the time? Try this Littlewoods Bingo tip: Adopt your lunges into your house cleaning routine. Hoovering gives you the perfect opportunity to get your daily lunges done for the day.
Bingo Bikini Buster Exercise Five: Body Crunches
They may sound painful (and they probably will be for the first few go's) but this exercise works wonders for toning your tummy, we promise. We are the online bingo name you can trust after all.
Lie on the floor on your back with your legs out straight and your arms extended above your head. Keeping your body straight at all times, lift your arms up as if you are moving them towards your toes and squeeze in your tummy as you do. Hold for a few seconds. Relax and lie flat again.
