Top Beauty trends for Spring 2010

Top Beauty trends for Spring 2010

Here at Littlewoods Bingo HQ we find it hard to keep up with the latest trends and with so many of them being things we are unlikely to wear or try out (patent leggings, really?) we sometimes find

Luckily to combat this, we’ve come up with something even better than online bingo games; the best beauty trends for 2010 so far. Simple trends and styles that will help us all be a little more stylish without having to resort to drastic measures!

Lower Lash Lines

Give your eyes a new look this Spring by jazzing up your lower lashes. Keep it light for a daytime look or go with heavy black for a dramatic evening look – it’s just the same as your upper lashes, except this gives your eyes a fresh new look and you’ll be surprised at how much of a difference it will make.

Buns, ballerina style

Ballerina style buns are a classic and easy to achieve hair-do and have been featured heavily on the catwalks, especially at the LANVIN Spring 2010 show. Sweep hair up into a high bun but keep it sleek with some serum or gloss to prevent those flyaway hairs.

Braids and Plaits

Another easy style, which is cute and can be messy or sleek and makes for a great daytime look without too much effort. Chunky braids always look good or if you’re skilled enough to work a French plait in, go for it. For a more modern twist try out a fishtail braid, which is slightly messier but looks fantastic.

Crimping

Crimped hair made a comeback this season on the catwalks, but don’t let it conjure up images of eighties hair. Crimping is an easy way to update your hairstyle and work through some texturising gum to keep it in check and add extra texture. Great for when you really don’t have time in the morning!

Bright Lips

A bit scary this one, as bright lips aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. Stick to vivid pink or classic red to instantly update any outfit and add a bit of colour. Just remember to keep your eye makeup light, otherwise you might end up looking a bit Katie Price-esque.

Shimmer is in, Orange is out

Unfortunately fake tanned skin is back in but no need to go and try to be David Dickinson, instead opt for illuminating bronzers and tinted moisturiser rather than ending up orange. It’s all about a natural healthy glow that shimmers so top with a pink lip gloss for effortless natural makeup.

Pastel Eyes

Pastels are everywhere this summer but if you’re still feeling the effects of the credit crunch and can’t quite bring yourself to splash out on new pastels for your wardrobe then why not opt for pastel eyes instead? Lovely pale blues, purples, yellows and greens will make your eyes pop and will instantly update your look.

Coral

Yes it is technically orange but coral is great for adding a healthy glow to cheeks, lips and even toes! Try to opt for glosses or creams to give a light coral sheen that will literally make you glow. Perfect for when pink is not enough and red is too much, coral is the shade to be wearing this Spring.
