Bingo Beauty - Dressing for Your Body Shape
Our bodies come in all shapes and sizes, often with our top half being a completely different size to our bottom half. So buying clothes can be a pain, especially when shops expect you to be the same size all over, annoying that, isn’t it. One trend certainly doesn’t suit every bingo player, and even if you really really love those skinny jeans, if you’re a cankle sufferer it’s wise to run a mile. Dress for your body shape and you’ll get ahead of the game.
Boyish
A boyish frame is typically one where you are very much straight up and down and don’t have curves. If you’ve got a boyish frame, don’t view it as a negative, be proud of your slimline frame and capitalise on all the clothes that curvier women can’t wear. Stripes are amazing on boyish frames, you can get away with horizontal stripes too - not many people can! Make the most of what you have by wearing plunging or backless tops. Fitted styles look great on you, as well as tailored trousers.
Hourglass
You’ve got the shape that most of us aspire to have, so don’t cover it up! Hourglass ladies typically have a teeny tiny waist, so accentuate it with nipped in dresses with large waistbands and make sure you have a good stock of waist belts. A fashion no-no for you is baggy clothes that lack shape; they’ll overwhelm your body shape and hide all your best bits.
Pear Shaped
A pear shaped body is the most common body shape in the UK and is typically associated with us British ladies. Basically bingo fans, we’re blessed with a larger bottom, and there’s nothing at all wrong with that! To prevent looking bottom heavy, stray away from light coloured or tight fitted bottoms. Darker bottoms with a pinstripe are great for pear shaped ladies, structure is the key! Draw attention to your gorgeous top half with tops that have a bit of detail, use accessories or a splash of colour to draw attention upwards to your lovely face!
Voluptuous
Voluptuous goddesses - do not make the mistake of drowning yourself in clothes that have no shape and are essentially just massive bags that you put over your body. In the same way, stray away from anything that has too much lyrca in it, there is a fine line between fitted and over exposure. Wear clothes that skim effortlessly over your curves. Choose fabrics that don’t cling to the body such as linen mixes. If you’ve got a larger chest, wear clothes that make the most of it! Don’t cover it up, be proud of your gorgeous figure!
