The Littlewoods Bingo team have decided it’s about time we braved the cold weather and got out of the house! Although it’s really rather lovely staying at home in the warmth, you may be getting a little bit of that cabin fever feeling and want to venture outdoors. To give you even more reason to take a trip, the Enjoy England website is offering families 2 for 1 on tickets and free child places to some of the UK’s most exiting attractions!
We’ve selected some of our favourite attractions which are currently on offer, so why not take advantage of them this month?
Bristol Zoo
If you’ve got kids who love animals, Bristol Zoo is a fantastic choice to keep the whole family entertained for a day! The zoo is home to over 400 species that live on 12 acres of land just waiting for you to explore! At the zoo you’ll find daily talks and displays as well as a special event called the Zoolympics where you can see some record breaking animals!
The zoo is also home to the Conservation Education Centre, where you can get clued up about the environment and find out how important it is to save the animals on our planet. Get up close and personal with parrots in the brand new walk through parrot feeding exhibit too! Kids go free with a paying adult at Bristol Zoo with www.enjoyengland.com!
Milkyway Adventure Park, North Devon
If you live in the South West, count yourself very lucky to be living close to the Milkyway! Well, the adventure park that is! For a fantastic day out that accommodates the whole family, take a trip to this adventure park with twist! The park is space based, so you’ll find space adventures galore. Experience an alien encounter on the clone zone ride or fall down a black hole if you dare! The black hole drop slide is one of the park’s many adrenaline pumping rides; you’ll freefall 25ft if you dare!
If you’re not an adrenaline junkie or you’ve got small children who aren’t old enough to be adrenaline fans just yet, there are tame activities available too! A pet’s corner and a maze as well as live bird of prey shows are ready and waiting for you to enjoy! If you’re lucky you’ll see a flying ferret too, now that is something you’ve got to see to believe!
Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham
Whether you’re 3 or 103, you’ll be wowed at Magna. The centre which has been created out of a former steelworks, explores science in a way that is unseen anywhere else! Each of the elements, Earth, Wind, Fire and Water are displayed in specially adapted installations throughout the centre. You’ll see a 5 metre fire tornado in Fire and have the chance to explode a rock face in Earth!
Kids will go mad for one of Europe’s largest hi-tech interactive playgrounds which also incorporates a water play area! Don’t worry about the fact that you’ll get soaking wet, you’ll dry off in the fire zone!
Muncaster Castle, Cumbria
The Lake District is a beautiful place to be and if you live nearby we’re very jealous! The region is filled with little gems that you can visit on a day out and one of these is Muncaster Castle. At the castle you can take in the beautiful views, walk, run or skip around the 77 acres of gardens. The best thing about the attraction is its World Owl Centre. Owls are fascinating creatures that have a reputation for their knowledge; perhaps it’s something in those knowing eyeens? At Muncaster you’ll see 200 owls ranging from the bizarre fish owls to cute little pygmy owls. What’s more, Enjoy England are offering you 2 for 1 entry into the World Owl Centre and the beautiful gardens.
Every month we bring you a guide to the best days out in the UK so keep playing online bingo to find out more about the hidden gems in the UK!
