Bingo Days Out

Adventure Days Out

One of the best ways to keep your children occupied at the weekend is to take them out and let them have a good old fashioned run around. The exercise is brilliant for them and you can sit back, relax and take in the scenery. Many adventure playgrounds in the UK are located in beautiful grounds so you’ll enjoy yourself just as much as the kids!

Adventure playgrounds are brilliant at any time of year as many of them are covered, but as we’re approaching the winter months, remember to wrap up warm for the outdoor playgrounds!

Here at Littlewoods Bingo HQ we’ve sourced the best adventure playgrounds in the country, so grab the kids, get them in their woolly hats and scarves and get ready for a fun day out!

Diana Memorial Playground, London
The playground created in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales is magnificent; it attracts 750,000 children every year and is completely free to visit!

A huge pirate ship is the centrepiece for this amazing playground which was inspired by the stories of Peter Pan. It is like a mini Neverland but instead of being ‘second to the right and straight on till morning’, it’s in London and has a sensory trail and tepees dotted around the park for that Neverland feel.

The park is wonderfully equipped for children of all ages and abilities, with a specially designed area for less able bodied children. Adults can relax in their own special seating area and take in the spectacular surroundings.

Lake District Adventure Playground Brockhole, Lake District

This brilliant adventure playground is located within 30 acres of gorgeous countryside and a forest that’s great for little explorers. The playground itself is open all year round, with rope walks galore, zip wires and scramble nets. For all budding adventurers there is a huge wooden fort and a shipwrecked boat.

The Lake District is one of the most stunning regions of Britain and is brilliant for exploring. Take your children on a walk through the countryside and set tasks along the way, end your day by visiting the adventure playground as a treat!

Centre for Alternative Technology, Powys, Snowdonia

We’re all aware that we need to go greener to help our lovely planet, but how do we do it? For those of you who are feeling a little baffled by all the go green information, then the Centre for Alternative Technology is well worth a visit.

It might seem an unlikely place to adventure, but as soon as you arrive at the centre, you’ll ascend 180ft via a cliff railway that is powered entirely by water! Not only that - the amazing adventure playground is made entirely out of recycled materials. There are cargo net tunnels and giant conker rope climbers that will keep kids entertained - and they’ll be learning too!

The centre holds loads of events and demonstrations about climate change all year round! Their aim is to help people with everyday solutions to global issues – sounds smart to us! With permanent interactive displays and exciting activities, it brings education and adventure together!

Chatsworth Farmyard and Adventure Playground, Sheffield

A day out to Chatsworth is brilliant especially if you’ve got children who range from toddlers to teens. The farmyard is a brilliant place for young children to learn about animals, with regular milking demonstrations and animal handling sessions.

For older children, Chatsworth has a fantastic woodland adventure playground with towers, rope walks, a spiral slide and a commando wire!

If you’ve got children, keeping them occupied can be difficult but taking them on an adventure trip they’ll never forget can be a brilliant way to do this! When you get them home after all that running around you can expect them to fall fast asleep, giving you time to come back to playing bingo online!
