Bingo Days Out

UK Summer Hotspots

In a blatant attempt to influence the, frankly rubbish, summer weather we have had so far, your pals at Littlewoods Bingo have brought together some of our favourite UK breaks. So in between praying for that big bingo cash prize, slip in a little muttering about the sunshine eh!

Pack the family up in the back of the car and hit the road...

Golowan festival

We’ll start in Cornwall, where the Golowan festival sounds, quite frankly, like a great laugh! This week-long celebration takes place in Penzance and features dazzling firework displays, music, parades and best of all, pasties.

Make sure you stick around for the culmination of the festival, the Mazey Days (27th-29th June) when every man and his dog hits the streets. Best place to stay – try the uber-hip Cove Hotel for a bit of Cornish charm.

Really Wild Wheels

If you and your family are the thrill-seeking types, why not try a great adventure holiday in Hertfordshire? Almost as exciting as playing bingo, the PGL Wild Wheels weeks include such exhilarating activities as mountain-boarding, mountain biking, skateboarding and BMX-riding. Of course, you can leave the kids to it while you go for some well earned R & R.

All activities are fully supervised and the accommodation is full-board, so there’s no need to pack them smelly sandwiches!

Visit the PGL website for more information.

Nice and Smooth

Got anything planned this August? Fancy a bit of culture; the chance to don your smoking jacket and slippers and appreciate some fine tunes?

If the answer is ‘yes’ then the Brecon Jazz festival may be just the summer break you need.

Our roving bingo reporters tell us that the headliner for this year’s festival (the 25th anniversary no less) is Van ‘the Man’ Morrison. Best to book now to avoid disappointment, as tickets are usually in short supply come the start of August.

For some resplendent accommodation, try the Peterstone Court Hotel.

A Discovery holiday

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside. Sun, sea and bingo is our ideal holiday, so beachcombing in Runswick Bay, North Yorkshire sounds like a treat. Best of all, it’s absolutely free and the kids will love it. A recent beachcombing survey (yes there is such a thing), found that Runswick Bay is the best place in Britain to spend your time looking for forgotten, washed-up treasures and curiosities.

We discovered this beautiful 300-year cottage (not on the beach mind!) in Staithes. Keep an eye out for the contraband tunnels as the Lynn Cottage is a former smuggler’s lair! Visit Cottages4you for more information.

The Great Outdoors

What round-up of UK summer breaks would be complete without some serious camping fun! If you want to be cool in the camping world (and let’s face it bingo buddies, who doesn’t!), then the place to be seen is Blackberry Woods in East Sussex.!

This is strictly old-school camping, so don’t expect any swimming pool or play centres, just you, your family and nature in perfect harmony.

Pitches start from just £5 per night, so for more information check out the Blackberry Wood website. Now then, who knows any good camp fire songs?

Weather permitting there’s something for everyone in our UK Summer breaks roundup, so book a few days off work, cram in some last minute bingo action, and get ready for a great holiday right on your doorstep.

Don’t forget, you can play your favourite bingo, slots and numbers games on the UK’s best loved bingo site – Littlewoods Bingo. Get playing today for your chance to win big.
