R is for...Random Days Out

Keeping the kids entertained at weekends isn’t easy, so here at Littlewoods Bingo, we’re giving you a hand. We’re helpful like that. We’ve picked some of Britain’s best days out to keep you and the kids entertained without a massive hit on the wallet.

The Forbidden Corner
Leyburn, North Yorkshire

The Forbidden Corner is one of Yorkshire's hidden gems. Tucked away in the stunning Dales countryside, it is dubbed: ‘the strangest place in the world’. It is a labyrinth of tunnels, some of which lead to bizarre and wonderful things, others which lead to dead ends or maybe even Timbuktoo.

At The Forbidden Corner you will encounter giants, underground chambers, a giant skull, bizarre statues, revolving doors and optical illusions that will make you dizzy. There is literally nowhere on earth like it, you’ll certainly feel as if you’re on another planet. The kids will love it and trust us; you’ll be sucked in by the madness of the place too.

Diggerland

4 Locations across Britain: Kent, Co. Durham, Devon, West Yorkshire

If you haven’t been to the sweeping phenomenon that is Diggerland, then get yourself to one pronto! Diggerland is the place where you and the kids can ride in and drive, yes drive, construction machinery. A visit to Diggerland is an action-packed day for all the family where you can learn about how the machines work and get behind the wheel of a JCB!

You might get a little bit muddy so it would be wise to don those wellies and get stuck in!

Glasgow Science Centre
Glasgow Science Centre is one of Scotland’s best tourist attractions and this is simply because it can occupy you for hours on end. You could spend days in the place and not get tired of it! The hands-on, interactive exhibits make it a hit with children and adults alike.

On a visit to the centre you’ll encounter the Bubble Wall, the only IMAX cinema in Scotland and the magnificent Scottish Power Planetarium where you can star gaze to your heart’s desire. Prepare to be amazed at the weird and wonderful facts you’ll pick up and expect your children to go back to school with a head full of Science knowledge, their teachers will thank you!

Woburn Safari Park
Bedfordshire

If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be on Safari, you needn’t go to Africa when there is an amazing Safari Park in Bedfordshire! Woburn is home to hundreds of animals that you can get up close and personal with as you drive through the open Safari area.

You’ll encounter Rhinos, Tigers, Lions and Giraffes as they roam freely but of course, safely, around the park. After you’ve enjoyed the drive, make your way to the Wild World Leisure Area, where there are many more animals and you are given the chance to participate in feeding time. If it takes your fancy, you can help feed the Bears! Woburn is a fantastic day out, not only because of its Safari Park but also because it is home to Woburn Abbey and its deer park grounds which span a gigantic 3,000 acres!

So round up the family and get them out of the house this weekend. There’s plenty of time for bingo fun when you get home!
